Gcinile and Themba ‘Grootman’ Selahle were once a happy couple, but their private lives have recently been thrust into the public eye due to the leak of their sex tape.
In response to this incident, the non-profit organization (NPO) Women For Change has come forward to support social media influencer Gcinile Twala and demand the arrest of her ex-fiancé, Themba ‘Grootman’ Selahle, for allegedly leaking the tape.

“Women For Change are deeply appalled and outraged by the sex tape that was allegedly leaked by Themba Selahle, known as ‘Grootman’. This heinous act of revenge porn is not only a gross violation of privacy but also a deeply traumatizing experience for Gcinile Twala,” stated the NPO.
The statement was issued shortly after Twala’s name began trending on Monday morning due to the leaked video. The footage is believed to have been released by Grootman.
Seeking Justice for Gcinile Twala
The NPO is calling for Grootman’s arrest and accountability for his alleged actions.
“We call on law enforcement, policymakers, and community leaders to take a stand against revenge porn and all forms of gender-based violence (GBVF),” the statement continued.
“We urge everyone to support Gcinile by refusing to share or further engage with the video. Instead, let us use our collective voice to condemn GBVF and demand justice,” it concluded.
Background on Gcinile and Grootman
Gcinile Twala is a makeup artist and influencer with over 300,000 followers on her TikTok channel. She owns a beauty company, Glammed by Gciniletee, and is also studying at Fair Beauty Academy in Johannesburg.
Her relationship with Grootman has been in the spotlight for several years, with the couple sharing many happy moments on social media. In 2022, Grootman proposed to Twala, and the pair even got matching tattoos. However, Twala recently covered her tattoo as their tumultuous relationship deteriorated.
Grootman also has a significant social media following, primarily due to his interest in trading. However, he has been labeled a scammer by numerous social media users. In 2022, the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) warned the public about engaging in financial services with him.
“The FSCA warns the public to be cautious when doing any financial services business with Themba Selahle, also known on social media as @xo_grootman,” read the FSCA statement from 2022.
“Mr. Selahle allegedly offers to trade in forex on behalf of members of the public. He promises high and unreasonable returns to clients and is alleged to ignore them when they attempt to withdraw their funds or their profits,” the institution said.
