About a last month, a disturbing incident unfolded in an apartment building in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul. It was in the wee hours of the morning, around 3:15 am, when a cat named Eros, beloved by the residents of the site, innocently wandered into an elevator. Little did he know, he was about to encounter unimaginable cruelty.

In the proceedings at the Küçükçekmece 16th Criminal Court of First Instance, Ibrahim Keloğlan Kedi was deemed guilty and handed a sentence of 1 year and 6 months. However, the court opted to grant a leniency discount to the individual responsible for the cat’s death, reducing the sentence by an additional 3 months and deciding against holding him in detention. Therefore, İbrahim Keloglan, the perpetrator in the cat’s killing, remains not under arrest.
In a court hearing at the Küçükçekmece 16th Criminal Court of First Instance, Keloglan was found guilty and sentenced to 1 year and 6 months. However, to the dismay of many, the court applied a good behavior reduction, further reducing the sentence by another 3 months and postponing the announcement of the final sentence.
