Reports suggest that Viru Nikah Terinsip was dancing alongside the well-known Thai Hot Guys from Bangkok’s Staneemeehoi restaurant, igniting public outcry in Malaysia. Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, president of the Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA), called for Viru to be stripped of her crown in light of the incident.
However, amidst the controversy, questions arose about whether a beauty queen should be criticized for letting loose during personal time away from public scrutiny. She announced her voluntary decision to relinquish her title, emphasizing that it was a matter of personal belief and self-worth rather than coercion.
“The title does not define one’s perfection or success,” Viru Nikah Terinsip asserted, acknowledging her imperfections and the inevitability of mistakes. She concluded by expressing gratitude to her supporters and urging them not to involve her family in the controversy.
