The IDF recently unveiled footage they claim was discovered, showing mother Shiri Bibas and her two young children surrounded by gunmen in the Gaza Strip hours after being abducted by Hamas-led terrorists on October 7. The release of this footage has raised serious concerns about the well-being of the captive family.

This Yarden Bibas Hamas Video, captured by surveillance cameras in Khan Younis, portrays Yarden Bibas holding her children, Ariel and Kfir, who were 4 years and 9 months old at the time of the kidnapping. It marks the first evidence of the family’s existence since they were taken into Gaza. The boys’ father, Yarden, was also abducted separately and remains in Gaza.
IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, in a press conference, expressed the military’s deep apprehension regarding the fate of Shiri and her children. However, he refrained from divulging further details about the intelligence gathered, stating only that the IDF is striving to ascertain their fate. He emphasized that once there is definitive information, it will be shared with the family and then the public.
In November, Hamas claimed that Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir were killed in an IDF strike, a claim disputed by the army. The family’s plight has garnered significant attention, serving as a grim reminder of Hamas’s brutality. The footage, according to Hagari, depicts the terrorists wrapping Shiri and her children in a sheet in an attempt to conceal them before forcing them into a vehicle and transporting them elsewhere. The clips were obtained from a Khan Younis military post belonging to the Mujahideen Brigades, a faction allied with Hamas.
Kfir, the youngest hostage in Gaza, was just a baby when he was taken. Hagari emphasized the urgency of bringing the hostages home and condemned Hamas’s abduction of innocent civilians. The Bibas family, in a statement, urged authorities to prioritize the release of their loved ones in any negotiation efforts.
Netanyahu vowed to hold the perpetrators accountable, stressing that justice will be served. The IDF continues to work diligently to verify the whereabouts and condition of the Bibas family, striving to secure their safe return home.
